Holly Kendrick - NSDF DIRECTOR (CEO)
Holly has consistently produced new work both nationally and internationally including most recently at The North Wall in Oxford and has recently co-produced a new play, Sisters, at the Sheffield Crucible. Prior to NSDF, Holly founded and produced for Sound Theatre: The Laramie Project, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Prometheus Bound and Flanders Mare; was Associate Producer for Stanhope Productions for Beckett (Theatre Royal Haymarket); for Caird Company, Two Weeks of New Writing and Directing (Gathehouse Theatre) Playing Soldiers (Pleasance Theatre) Observe The Sons of Ulster Marching Towards The Somme (Pleasance Theatre) Disintegration (Arcola Theatre) Northern Lights (Soho Theatre) A Season of New British Plays (Jerwood Space) Robin Hood (National Theatre) Daddy Long Legs (Atlantic Center for the Arts) Five Corners (Jerwood Centre) Theatre Café (Arcola Theatre) and The Arab-Israeli Cookbook (The Gate Theatre and The Tricycle); Heartbreak House (The Oxford Playhouse) Macbeth and Taming of The Shrew (Japanese tour, including the Tokyo Globe) The Heiress (co-production for the National Theatre, Sheffield Theatres and the Touring Partnership). Holly has worked for: Remould Theatre Company, Hull Truck Theatre Company, Santiago Stage, Yorkshire Women’s Theatre, Serino and Coyne, Tei Williams Press and Arts Marketing, The Oxford Playhouse, Demarco European Arts Foundation, Cameron Mackinosh Board for Oxford Drama, Thelma Holt, the National Theatre Touring Department and Caird Company. Holly read English at Oxford University.
Chris Wootton - Administrator
Before coming to NSDF, Chris worked as an Administrative Assistant at Caird Company, Sound Theatre, and The North Wall, where he also worked as a Fundraiser and Marketing Officer for their inaugural Summer Festival. He recently produced a reading of The Condor, a new play at the London International Arts Theatre and a tour of Romeo & Juliet to the Tokyo Metropolitan Arts Space. In 2007 he produced a series of professional workshops on acting, directing, writing and producing, for students at the Oxford Playhouse. In 2006, he produced a Theatre in Education tour visiting state and private schools across the country.
Victoria Brittain - Workshop Coordinator
Victoria trained as an actress at drama school where she founded theatre company Fiddy West Productions with writer/director Reuben Johnson. Fiddy West Productions' debut play Territory won them the NSDF and Methuen Drama Edinburgh Emerging Artists Competition at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009. Their second play The Meeting has been picked alongside Territory by the Pleasance Trust to represen the Charlie Hartill Fund at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010. Victoria is currently producing Graham Greene's The Potting Shed at the Finborough Theatre which will open in September. Alongside producing and acting Victoria teaches at a film school in West London.
Nic Watson - Technical Director
Nic joined NSDF in 2008 when he shadowed the outgoing TD, Anna Cole. He is a freelance technician specialising in comedy, new writing and working with young people. A regular at the Edinburgh Festival for 8 years between '01 and '08, Nic has worked on about 40 shows there over roughly 650 performances. A former Technical Manager at the Cockpit Theatre, he continues his work there running the new-writing scratch night Theatre In The Pound and is currently working on a new apprenticeship scheme in association with the National Skills Academy for Creative & Cultural Skills. Aside from numerous freelance projects and touring work, Nic also works regularly at the Royal Academy of Music and for the last four years has mentored technical theatre students on placement there during the summer musicals.
