Soho Theatre
20th September 2009 - 7pm
In November 2008 The Big Issue and NSDF launched a competition, for aspiring writers who had never had their work published or performed professionally, to the find the most exceptional 10 minute play.
Hundreds of ten minute plays were submitted and a panel of readers whittled them down to 7 winning entries: Satellites by Patrick Ashe; The Inkredible Dark by Elena Cotrozzi; Hit Me Again by Rob Johnston; The Controlled Programme of Eradication by W A Morris; One Sandwich Short by Boyce Van Rensburg ; The Commode by Stacey Lee; Smear by Sarah Scovell (student finalist).
The plays were read over the course of 90 minutes by a professional cast directed by Mike Bradwell for one night only on 20th September at Soho Theatre.
The overall winner as chosen by judges Rhys Ifans and Sadie Frost was The Commode by Stacey Lee.
