Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama provides both undergraduate and postgraduate training in acting, theatre design and stage management. Throughout 2010 a new collection of masters programmes are launching in areas of musical theatre, directing and arts management.
Our students are taught in a friendly and supportive environment and the training is reflective of the current theatre and arts industries. Graduates leave with the skills demanded by industry and succeed at the highest possible levels. Theatre Design graduates have a long history of winning the prestigious Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design. Winners have gone on to design for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Doctor Who and The Royal Ballet Company to name a few. Stage Management graduates work for the Olympic Games, in West End Theatres and tour with artists such as Madonna and Take That. Graduates of the acting course can be found on stage, TV, radio and film across the world. Familiar faces include Ruth Jones, Dougray Scott, Lyndsey Marshal, Jo Joyner, Rob Brydon and Craig Gazey.
Currently, the College is in the midst of a £22.5 million investment in campus facilities which will mean that our students will benefit from some of the best training and performance facilities anywhere in the world.
