I am currently the Director of the Pleasance Theatre Trust. I studied Stage Management at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. An eighteen-month stretch working with Phil Parsons taught me to become a reasonably good carpenter. We built scenery for the National Theatre, ENO, Royal Opera House and various other West End and touring productions, as well as for Pinewood Studios. I travelled for over six years, became involved in theatre and festivals in a great many places, but always trying to get back for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August. On returning to the UK, I remained in London, working in the office of Glynis Henderson Productions for six years, as Associate Producer on the world tours of STOMP and Ennio Marchetto, (both shows launched on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe). Other professional activities and appointments I hold include: The Chair of the Board of Directors for Blind Summit Theatre Company as a Director of the National Student Drama Festival and as a Director of Red 61. When I am not in the theatre I have a three children and a wonderful wife who keep me constantly laughing. I love my job!
