Elin  Schofield

Elin is a freelance director, movement director and facilitator based in the North. She is the co-founder and company director of award-winning company and NSDF-Alumni, Footprint Theatre. 

Directing for Footprint Theatre includes the award-winning, Daniel (NSDF 2016, Theatre Delicatessen, Royal Exchange Manchester, New Diorama and Camden People’s Theatre), The Belief Project (Theatre Delicatessen) and Signals (Sheffield Theatres, Latitude Festival and National Tour). Other recent credits include, This is Not a Demo by Sheffield Theatres’ Young Company 18-25 (Sheffield Theatres), Shoes in Twos by Marcus Bernard (Theatre503), You & I by Colla Voce (Hope Mill Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe) and Screwdriver co-written with Eve Cowley (Lyric Hammersmith).

Elin has also worked as an Assistant Director with Sheffield Theatres, Paines Plough, Slung Low and Freckle Productions.

Recently, Elin has been a part of writers’ groups at the Royal Court Theatre and Sheffield Theatres.
