Sean Linnen

Sean is a theatre director from Manchester. He was previously Trainee Artistic Director at Sheffield Theatres and Paines Plough in partnership with Arts Council England, and Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse.

Directing credits include: THIS LITTLE EARTH (Arcola); THE DISTANCE (Nottingham Playhouse/The Yard); MACHINAL, DON JUAN COMES BACK FROM THE WAR, MOJO (RWCMD); HER NAKED SKIN (GSA); GROWTH (Paines Plough/RWCMD), 322 DAYS (Paines Plough); HOLLOW (Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter) A PREOCCUPATION WITH ROMANCE (Edinburgh Festival Fringe).

He has worked as an Assistant/Associate Director for the National Theatre, Old Vic, Bridge Theatre, English Touring Theatre, Edinburgh International Festival, Manchester International Festival, Rose Theatre, Kingston and Park Avenue Armory, New York.

He is a tutor for Open Door, a selector for the National Student Drama Festival and a patron of COMMON.
