Paines Plough is the UK's national theatre of new plays, touring the length and breadth of the country in theatres, clubs and pubs everywhere from city centres to seaside towns from Cornwall to the Orkney Islands, in village halls and Off-Broadway, at music festivals and student unions, online and on radio, and in our own pop-up theatre ROUNDABOUT. This workshop is all about touring. How do you make work to tour? How do you write a tour pack? How do you book a tour? How do you avoid touring pitfalls? Come armed with questions and wanderlust.

James Grieve is Joint Artistic Director of Paines Plough where he has directed new plays by writers including Elinor Cook, Anna Jordan, Brad Birch, Sarah McDonald-Hughes, Mike Bartlett, James Graham, Kate Tempest, Tom Wells, Marie Jones, Penelope Skinner and Nick Payne. He was formerly co-founder and Artistic Director of nabokov and Associate Director of The Bush Theatre.
