INALA Movement Workshop

Location: Studio79

Sisters Grimm shows are a meeting of cultures, bringing together diverse groups of people, diverse disciplines and diverse audiences in one space.
Co-founder Pietra Mello-Pittman will talk about her transition from Royal Ballet ballerina to full time producer and their ground breaking and critically acclaimed show 'INALA a Zulu ballet', which unites the legendary Soweto Gospel Choir with dancers from Royal Ballet and Rambert.
Watched by over 80,000 people, receiving a Grammy nomination for the music, featuring on the Royal Variety Performance seen by millions world-wide, selling out premiere venues internationally, drawing in 30-45% first time theatre attendees and delighting audiences with standing ovations most nights INALA has its West End premiere from 30th April to 18th May before touring to Asia.
The workshop culminates in an 'embodied knowledge' movement workshop - created by Mark Baldwin OBE which was the basis for Inala's huge success. Accessible for all!

Pietra is a former Royal Ballet Ballerina and is co-founder and director of Sisters Grimm Ltd which she founded in 2009 with Grammy nominated composer Ella Spira, while still at the Royal Ballet. Sisters Grimm has a successful track record of conceiving, producing and internationally touring award-winning culturally themed shows with global appeal to diverse sell-out crowds.

Unfortunately Studio79 is not fully accessible (There is no step free access and is up two flights of stairs). This is far from ideal and does not meet our hopes. If you have access requirements and would like to attend this workshop please email [email protected] and we will work our hardest to resolve the situation.
