How do you build a sustainable career? How do you stop emerging and get to the next phase? How do you do the work that you want to do, and keep going, stay creative and stay happy?
Perspectives and Q and A on some practical realities of a career as an actor, writer, director and doctor from Prasanna Puwanarjah, Associate Artist at the Donmar Warehouse, a theatre that develops bridging-career artists.


Prasanna Puwanarajah (Visiting Artist) was a doctor for 4 years. He has since worked as an actor, director and writer. He directed Venice Preserved (RSC) and The Reluctant Fundamentalist (NYT). Forthcoming directing includes the feature film Ballywalter. His debut play Nightwatchman was produced by the NT. He is writing a graphic novel with Jed Mercurio. Acting includes Doctor Foster and Patrick Melrose.
