Ever wondered what a compressor does? This session will look at different types of outboard equipment and how to use them to improve the overall mix.
Ali works for Lamp & Pencil, designing and building practicals and bespoke items for projects and shows. He is also a freelance sound engineer working on a wide variety of shows within theatre and events. NSDF19 will be Ali's fifth Festival and his second as Head of Sound.
Hamish is a theatre maker specialising in touring and working in non-theatre spaces. He is the Theatre Manager at Cranleigh School currently. In 2017 he has worked on Slung Low’s 4-part epic, Flood in Hull and with Paines Plough’s pop up venue Roundabout. He has worked with NSDF alumni Paperfinch at Theatr Clwyd on The Nutcracker & The Snow Queen.
