Turning an Idea into a Play
Location: Curve Theatre, Slunglow Bus
A workshop for everyone from any discipline who’s always wanted to write but never quite has.
The workshop will take your ideas and show you how to turn them into a play. Open to those with ideas they want to develop, or to those who would like to learn more about the process itself.
There will also be an opportunity for feedback and for general questions about writing or directing.
James Phillips is a writer and director. His first play, The Rubenstein Kiss, won the John Whiting Award and the TMA Award for Best Play. Other plays include Flood (BBC/Hull 17/Slung Low), McQueen (West End), City Stories (59East59 New York, St James Theatre London), Camelot: The Shining City (Crucible Theatre), Hidden in the Sand (Trafalgar Studios).
