Be a part of the Noises Off Team
Applications for NSDF 21 will open in January 2021.
Noises Off is a magazine run by young theatre critics for young theatre makers at NSDF, a week-long annual Festival for emerging theatre-makers. The Noises Off team publishes exciting theatre criticism, writing, and opinion pieces.
As a writer for Noises Off, you’ll attend Festival events and all the performances, writing reviews and articles about the Festival. During the Festival we publish one print edition every day (for the last day we make a handmade zine) and upload rolling news online. It's a week to work closely with editors, to challenge yourself and to question the industry. We encourage experimental writing and we don't care if you haven’t been published before.
Noises Off supports writers to challenge themselves, and our readers, with life-changingly good criticism and ideas about theatre and the arts. It’s a communal environment for young writers to write together and think together, and a stepping-stone towards professional writing. Writers for Noises Off have gone on to become professional critics.
You'll meet some of the most exciting emerging theatre companies and have the opportunity to attend a programme of workshops, performances and discussions.
