As a member of the Technical Team, you will help produce the National Student Drama Festival! The National Student Drama Festival is one of the largest and longest running free theatre festivals for young people aged 16 - 25. It has been a hugely important stepping stone for theatremakers and we want you to be a part of the festival!
The whole festival is an opportunity to learn ‘on the job’ and ask questions, professional technicians will support you throughout the week, guiding you in how to handle all the technical needs of a production. Once trained and empowered, you’ll have the responsibility for ensuring the shows go off without a hitch!
We will build fringe venues together, there will be workshops, opportunities to assist with work in progress shows, and of course you will be able to watch the festival performances that you helped make happen! It will be a full-on learning experience like no other.
No experience is necessary to apply to be a technical participant!
However, if you do have some experience, whether at your local theatre, university, or college, we will provide opportunities where you are challenged to do more, learn more and try something new.
