Gabby Vautier is an experienced independent theatre and festival producer working Locally, Nationally and Internationally.
Gabby is co-director of imPOSSIBLE Producing with Charlie Bunker.
imPOSSIBLE is a covid response producing engine, based in Cornwall and working Nationally, which was set up to support and champion individuals and develop new work and ideas post pandemic. imPOSSIBLE run The Island talent and new work development project and runs artist retreats and R&D Hothouses. imPOSSIBLE are currently developing 15 productions with Island artists and building a new festival in their hometown of Falmouth. imPOSSIBLE are coproducing and producing with companies including the Young Vic, Theatre by the Lake, MAYK Bristol, Dash Arts, Royal Docks, Minack Theatre, Hall for Cornwall, Theatre Royal Plymouth and RTYDS.
For 5 years Gabby led the hugely successful International arts and activist festival Fertility Fest which in 2019 was held at the Barbican Arts Centre, London with a centrepiece production of Avalanche starring Maxine Peake as a Barbican/Sydney Theatre co-production.
Before working independently Gabby worked in a series of senior management and producing roles developing artists and audiences with the Young Vic Theatre and Barbican, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Manchester International Festival.
Gabby is a recipient of the Stage One Commercial Producers Bursary, mentors loads of young talent and is passionate about making this industry fair and inclusive. Gabby is also the mum of 7-year-old twins and has seriously learnt to multi-task!
