Lucy Ellinson

Associate

Lucy is an actor and theatre maker specialising in devised and experimental performance and international new writing. Lucy is an associate artist with London’s Gate Theatre and is a member of Third Angel, Deaf and Hearing Ensemble and is a core artist with Forest Fringe. Lucy has been supported by Battersea Arts Centre and regularly collaborates with artists: Chris Goode, Chris Thorpe, Clare Duffy, Unlimited Theatre, Wendy Hubbard, Metis Arts, Jane Packman Company and Lydia Ziemke/Suite42.

Recent theatre credits include playing Poprishchin in MadMan by Chris Goode (The Drum, Theatre Royal Plymouth). The Pilot in George Brant’s Grounded, The Chorus in Trojan Women and Julian Assange in Tenet (Greyscale) (all at The Gate Theatre London). Money: The Game Show (Unlimited Theatre; The Bush), Oh The Humanity! and other good intentions by Will Eno, directed by Erica Whyman (Northern Stage; Soho Theatre).

Lucy also teaches and makes political and participatory contemporary performance, looking at community, austerity and protest. Her work includes: #TORYCORE with Steve Lawson and Chris Thorpe (The Arches Brick Award 2012), Kaidan and One Minute Manifesto (Forest Fringe, Northern Stage, BAC) and When I Was Old When I Get Young (RSC/Pilot Night, Pulse Festival).

Lucy was a selector in 2012 for the International Student Drama Festival and is chuffed to bits to be back on the team since 2014.
